Dear RESA Community,
Thank you to everyone who came out to the RESA Halloween Block Party! The fun began with our littlest residents trunk-or-treating along Irma Lyle. It was a great opportunity for young families to meet longtime residents and each other. It also allowed those on less accessible streets to be part of the fun by handing out candy from their trunks, tables, or in one case: a treat cannon that shot goodie bags high into the air for kids to catch! We’ll hope to see more trunks participating next year.
Dog Costume Contest
The festivities continued with the dog costume contest! This event was a huge hit with participants and spectators alike. Our junior judges, Amitis and Hakan, perused the parading pooches and picked 3 lucky winners! The only complaint? NOT ENOUGH DOGS! We’ll definitely be looking for a bigger pack of pups next Halloween. Bring us your best!
Haunted Houses and Nightmare Attractions
As darkness fell, the older kids crept out to fill their bags with sweet treats. At one end of the street, a tent welcomed visitors of all ages to the “Nightmare on Irma Lyle.” At the other end, a Haunted House beckoned those who were brave enough to face their fears. (Though the adults seem more scared than the kids!!) Grateful for a spell of mild weather, neighbors chatted and laughed until the witching hour, when the chill sent souls young and old alike scattering for the safety of home.
Redwood Estates at its BEST
Family-friendly fun filled with laughter, warm welcomes and new friendships. The best quote was from young Ethan, who said Redwood Estates was way more fun than celebrating in town. “It’s friendlier here, and has a better vibe.” We agreed! RESA looks forward to hosting more events like this that bring the whole neighborhood together. Thanks to all who decorated, dressed up, and made Halloween night a ghoulishly good time!
Look out for our next community event! Can’t wait to see ya’ll there!
