RESA FireWise 2026 Certified & 2025 Hazardous Fuel Removal Summary

Dear RESA Community,

We are pleased to announce that Redwood Estates has renewed its FireWise application and is in good standing for 2026*!

In order to qualify for this renewal, RESA organized five events in 2025 to aid in fire abatement efforts.

RESA, in association with the Santa Clara County FireSafe Council, hosted four successful brush chipping projects at the Pavilion. The dates and load of debris recorded for our community are listed below:

Date                Amount Removed
4-19-25:          75 trailer loads
5-17-25:          59 trailer loads
9-13-25:          47 trailer loads
10-18-25:        53 trailer loads

In addition to the chipping events located at the Pavilion, RESA budgeted over $25,000.00 for a week-long hazardous fuel removal initiative in July, where Denali Tree Company went through each street within the community to clear the road edges, debris piles, and RESA properties.

We couldn’t have done it without the volunteers and members hard work and coordination to make it to these events. We also want to appreciate those who do tree work on their own, independent of these activities**.

So, THANK YOU! With your help, we are able to make our community safer and FireWise certified. Stay tuned for more information regarding the 2026 brush chipping dates.

Sincerely,
RESA Office & Operations
