SJWC Water Main Installation

Greetings Residents of Redwood Estates,

West Valley Construction, on behalf of San Jose Water Company, will be installing a new water main and services on the following streets: Madrone Drive (Pavilion to R.E. Store), Broadway Rd., Laverne Dr., Patricia Ct., Judith Ct., Mt. View Ct., and Locust Ct. beginning on or near June 5th


Utility owners will mark the location of existing underground utilities with white markings. We will begin potholing to dig down and verify the depth and location of any utilities that may be present. All trenches and potholes will be backfilled or covered with steel trench plates at the end of each day.

This process will take several weeks to complete. We will send out a map showing our starting location with highlighted roads that will be affected to allow residents/business owners to plan accordingly. Access in-and-out of your homes will be granted as needed – for narrow roads, there will be times during the day that certain areas are not accessible.

The project work hours are limited to 8AM-6PM Monday through Thursday. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Water services will not be interrupted during the installation process over the next several months. However, once this project is near completion, and the new water main is activated, we will need to switch your water service connection to the new water main. This process will require your water services be turned off for a period of 6-8 hours. Residents affected by this new water main connection will be notified at least 72-hours before the interruption.

NEW Office Hours

March Monthly Assessments statement correction

Dear RESA Community,

The March 15th, 2023 Monthly Assessment had an error – it did not include the assessment billed on 3/15, due by 4/14. Therefore, your statement dated 3/13 may have stated that you owe a zero balance.

The April 15th Monthly Assessments have been corrected, so it will show the amount due for 3/15 and 4/15.

Green Team voucher for free disposal

Dear RESA Community,

Green Team has provided a voucher to each of your homes via the mail for Unincorporated Santa Clara residential customers to use at Guadalupe Landfill – dispose of up to 1,000 lbs. of acceptable material for FREE!

This voucher is redeemable from 4/1/23 through 4/30/23 and is good for one visit, one vehicle per residence, not to exceed a 4’x8′ trailer.

What You Need To Do:

  1. Present voucher (see link below for an example of one sent to your residence), current driver’s license or utility bill with an address that matches the mailer already sent to your home to Guadalupe Landfill.
  2. Safety requirements upon entry: wear a high visibility safety vest (can be purchased at gate for $3.24), loads tarped (or $21.60 fee).
  3. Determine if your materials are accepted or not (see link below for more info).
