SJWC Water Main Installation – Updates Week of 6/3

Dear RESA Community, 

For the next week, the main thoroughfare in RE will be open with detours. Hours are effective 8am-6pm.

WVCC will work with residents living within the closed areas to get in and out of their homes, however, they urge you to park outside of the work zone if possible.

Due to the nature of work, NO PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC IS ALLOWED IN THE CLOSURE AREAS, listed below (this does not apply to those living in the closure zone).

Monday 6/3 and Tuesday 6/4

  • Work Location: Woolaroc from Virdelle to Santa Ana.
  • Road Status: CLOSED to through and pedestrian traffic.
  • Main Thoroughfare Access: OPEN with detours
    • Residents living on Virdelle will need to exit towards Bayview.
    • Residents living on Santa Ana will be able to enter/exit. Expect delays.

Wednesday 6/5

  • Work Location: Woolaroc between Santa Ana and Dorothy.
  • Road Status: CLOSED to through and pedestrian traffic.
  • Main Thoroughfare Access: OPEN with detours.
    • Residents living down Santa Ana will be able to exit up Woolaroc towards Summit.

Thursday 6/6

  • Work Location: Woolaroc between Dorothy and Bayview.
  • Road Status: CLOSED to through and pedestrian traffic.
  • Main Thoroughfare Access: OPEN with detours.

Summary of the Main Thoroughfare for the Week
Mon – Open
Tues – Closed
Wed – Closed
Thurs – Open

Below are the updates for next week, effective from 8am-6pm.

Monday 5/27:

  • No Work Due to Memorial Day Holiday.

Tuesday-Wednesday 5/28-5/29:

  • Work Location: Bayview Drive and Santa Ana Road between Zella Court and Naomi Court.
  • Closure Type: CLOSED to through traffic, NO detour option.
    • Residents living above Zella Court will be able to exit via Summit.
    • Residents living on Naomi Court and below will be able to exit via towards Madrone.
    • Residents living within the closure will be able to get in and out, however, they are urged to park vehicles out of the work area to avoid potential delays.

Thursday 5/30:

  • Work Location: Woolaroc Drive between Virdelle Drive and Bayview Drive.
  • Closure Type: flaggers will be detouring people around the work site – anticipate minor delays.
    • Residents living down Santa Ana Road will be maintain access in and out.

Board of Directors Appointment & Positions 2024

Dear RESA Community,

There has been a recent change amongst the Board of Directors. With the resignation of Angela Hedges, the Board has appointed Matt Nelson to fill the remainder of the term. We thank Angela for her hard work and welcome Matt to the team.

Hello Neighbors,

My name is Matt Nelson. I am a lifelong Redwood Estates resident. I have an immense amount of pride in this community and the people that make it a special place to live. With the analytical skills I learned while obtaining a couple degrees in economics, and the interpersonal and technical skills I have acquired as a real estate professional, I will approach this position with an appreciation for data and an ability to communicate effectively. Most importantly, I understand that as a board member I am a representative of you, my neighbors. I look forward to opportunity to represent the community as the newest RESA board member.
