January storms & reporting damages

Dear RESA Community,

We hope that you and your families are safe and faring well in the aftermath of the recent storms. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to address the various obstacles, from fallen trees to collapsed roads.

We are currently assessing the damage and work that needs to be done, researching opportunities for grants and funding to help with the costs. As we work out a plan, including prioritizing the most critical fixes (e.g. functioning infrastructure and safety), we’ll be keeping you updated.

In the meantime, for the most recent plan and status update, please join us for the Board of Directors monthly meetings, held every third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Pavilion. You can find minutes* for past month’s meetings at www.redwoodestates.net/board-of-directors/ or call the office to request a paper copy sent to you. If you have any questions or concerns, as always, please feel free to contact me! *Minutes for the Feb 15th meeting will be available after approval at the March BoD meeting.

Introduction to the RESA Office Manager

Dear Redwood Estates Community,

I am Cheryl Hargrove, current landowner and future resident of Redwood Estates, and I’m the new Office Manager for RESA. Some of you may recognize my name from when I served as Interim Office Manager at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022. For those whom I have not had the pleasure to meet, I look forward to getting to know you and the RESA community.

The Office Manager is an integral community-building and organizational cornerstone of RESA and its activities. I understand that your time and community are very important to you, so I look forward to serving all of your needs. In my effort to serve you, we’ve implemented virtual office hours via telephone or email Monday–Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

As Office Manager, it is my hope to help create, facilitate, and organize community-building events that all can partake in and enjoy. Getting to know you in person is very important to me. Thus, in-office operations/hours will begin Spring 2023.

One of my first priorities is to roll out services that will make monthly assessment payments easier, such as more versions of electronic billing (e.g., Zelle), so be on the lookout for that option in your next bill. I’m also very interested in hearing your feedback to help me improve processes, build community trust, and understand what is most important to you.

The RESA team appreciates your patience with recent staff changes and processes and hope we can continue building and strengthening our community. Coming from a community-building role, I look forward to helping each of you. Please do not hesitate to reach out.

Cheryl Hargrove
