SUMMARY for the Main Thoroughfare for ALL Days

On each of the following days, here is the summarized status of the main thoroughfare for Redwood Estates.

  • Monday 5/20 – OPEN with detours in place
  • Tuesday 5/21 – CLOSED
  • Wednesday 5/22 – OPEN
  • Thursday 5/23 – CLOSED
  • Friday 5/24 – No road work 

Below are the details for road updates for both the upper and lower portions of the project for next week. All hours are 8am-6pm for road closures.

UPPER SECTION – Water Main Installation

Monday 5/20

  • Work Location: Bayview Drive between Gloria Court and Zella Court.
  • Closure Type: Bayview CLOSED, detour will be in place, utilizing Zella Court to go around the work.

Tuesday 5/21

  • Work Location: Intersection of Santa Ana Road and Bayview Drive, up Santa Ana Road.
  • Closure Type: Santa Ana CLOSED, residents who live on this street are urged to park vehicles outside of work areas to avoid delays (Bayview will remain open).

Wednesday 5/22

  • Work Locations
    • #1: Intersection of Santa Ana Road and Bayview Drive, up Santa Ana Road.
      • Closure Type: Santa Ana will be CLOSED. Residents affected by the closure on Santa Ana are urged to park on Eileen Court.
    • #2: Bayview Drive spanning from Gloria Court to Zella Court.
      • Closure Type: detour will be in place utilizing Zella Court to go around the road work.

Thursday 5/23

  • Work Location: Work begins at the intersection of Bayview Drive and Zella Court, working down Santa Ana to where it meets Naomi Court.
  • Closure Type: Bayview/Santa Ana is CLOSED with NO DETOUR OPTION.
    • Residents living on Naomi Court and below will exit towards the Pavilion.
    • Residents living above Zella Court and above will exit towards Summit.
    • Residents living within the closure are urged to park vehicles outside the work area.

LOWER SECTION – Road Paving

Monday 5/20

  • Work Location: Madrone Drive from the Redwood Estates Store down towards the Pavilion.
  • Closure Type: Madrone Drive is CLOSED. There will be a detour in place taking through traffic around, utilizing Redwood and Oak Drive.
    • Residents living on Mary Alice Way and Helen way will maintain access with delays as traffic flaggers will help get residents in and out of their homes.

Tuesday 5/21

  • Work Location: Broadway Road and La Verne Drive between Madrone Drive (store) and Virginia Drive/Beatrice Circle.
  • Closure Type: Broadway/La Verne is CLOSED
    • Residents living on Virginia Drive, Beatrice Circle, Broadway Road, La Verne Drive, and Idalyn Drive will maintain access with delays as traffic flaggers will help get residents in and out of their homes.

2024 Pool Season Info

Open Memorial Day Weekend:
Sat 5/25 & Sun 5/26 from 12-6pm, Mon 5/27 from 12-4pm
Open for the season June 1st through Labor Day (weather permitting)

Hours
Monday – Friday: Noon to 7:00pm.
Saturday – Sunday:  Noon to 6:00pm.

Policies

  • Sign-in/Out – Sign in and out with each visit on the tablet at the snack shack (you will need your account number, so please contact resaservice@comcast.net if unknown)
  • Emergency Contact – Members must fill out, keep current, and initial the Members Pool Card (kept on file at the pool) with emergency contact information
  • Guests – Members may bring up to two guests for a $5 per guest fee, as long as they accompany their guests at the pool at all times.
  • Member Use – Members must be in good standing (less than 31-days delinquent with any monies due to the RESA Corporation) in order to utilize the pool. 
  • Younger Swimmers
    • Children aged 5 and under while in the pool must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older. If the adult is not the parent or legal guardian, they must have written permission from the parent.
    • Children aged 6 to 9 must be accompanied while in the pool area either by an adult or by a guardian aged 14 years or older, with written permission from the parent.
    • Children aged 10 or older are required to pass a swimming ability test given by the lifeguard in order to remain at the pool unaccompanied by an adult.

Rules

The following is designed to make all members and their guests aware of the safety rules to be followed at the Redwood Estates Pool. 

  1. NO RUNNING OR PUSHING
  2. NO FOUL LANGUAGE
  3. NO PETS
  4. NO GLASS IN POOL AREA
  5. NO ALCOHOL IN POOL AREA
  6. NO ENTERING POOL AREA WHEN CLOSED
  7. NO PLAYING ON LADDER OR STEPS
  8. NO GROUP FUNCTIONS – this includes birthday parties, Scouting events, home and school club meetings, and so on.
  9. BE RESPECTFUL OF POOL STAFF, PATRONS, AND POOL PROPERTY
  10. NON-SWIMMERS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT IN THE WATER

The above rules are enforced by RESA’s lifeguards and RESA staff members.

SJWC Water Main Installation Updates for Week of 5/13 – UPPER Section

Dear RESA Community,

For the week of 5/13, there is work taking place from 8am-6pm. WVCC will accommodate residents living on these streets to get in and out of their homes. Due to the work being performed, there may be a delay, so please allow extra time for your transit.

On all days, the main thoroughfare is OPEN, with detours around work sites.

Monday 5/13:

  • ROLLING CLOSURE: only one of the streets below will be closed at a time. If one is closed, the other section will be open to allow traffic around work.
  • Woolaroc CLOSED first, once their work is done here, they will move onto…
  • Section of Bayview between Dorothy/Fern and Woolaroc CLOSED after the section mentioned above.

Tuesday 5/14:

  • Section of Bayview between Dorothy/Fern and Woolaroc CLOSED all day.
  • Traffic will be detoured around the work will be in place, using Woolaroc and Dorothy.

Wednesday 5/15:

  • ROLLING CLOSURE: only sections of the road will be closed at a time, allowing traffic around the work sites.
  • Sections of Woolaroc Drive will be closed at a given time. They will be starting at Virdelle, making their way towards Bayview.
  • Residents on Santa Ana will be able to enter/exit, but there may be delays, please allow extra time for your transit.

Thursday 5/16:

  • Section of Bayview from Woolaroc to Gloria will be closed all day.
  • Detour signage in place utilizing Zella.

SJWC Water Main Installation Updates Weeks of 5/13 and 5/20 – LOWER Section

Below is a schedule for paving the lower portion of the SJWC Water Main Installation Project. Updates for the upper portion of the project (Virdelle/Woolaroc) will be sent out later this week.

For the Week of 5/13, there are closures on the roads below from 8am-6pm.

Monday 05/13

  • All of Naomi Court
  • Section of Locust Drive to where it meets Santa Ana
  • Main thoroughfare is open

Tuesday 05/14

  • All of June Court
  • Section of Mountain View Court to where it meets Locust Drive
  • Section of Locust Drive to where it meets Santa Ana
  • Main thoroughfare is open

Wednesday 05/15

  • Section of La Verne Drive from the cul-de-sac to where it meets Judith Court
  • Main thoroughfare is open.

Thursday 05/16

  • Judith Court closed.
  • Mountain View Court to Locust Drive closed.
  • Locust Drive from Mountain View Court to Santa Ana (hairpin) closed.
  • Main thoroughfare is CLOSED.

For the Week of 5/20, there are closures on the roads below from 8am-6pm. There will be no traffic in or out.

Monday 05/20

  • Broadway/La Verne Drive from Madrone Drive to Virginia/Beatrice intersection is closed.
  • Madrone Drive between the RE Store and Pavilion is closed.
  • Main thoroughfare is CLOSED.

Tuesday 05/21

  • Broadway/La Verne Drive from Madrone Drive to Virginia/Beatrice intersection is closed.
  • Main thoroughfare is CLOSED.

There will be NO crews on site Wednesday 05/22 and Thursday 05/23.
